Swatch of the fluorescent collection models own faaaab!!!

Hey my pretty chikkas.  Crikey this winter is hanging on for dear life here in the UK....apparently spring has supposed to have sprung...unforchantely I must have missed that...I am longing for some sunshine and the only way I can incorporate that is to wear some on my fingertips!

I have been eagerly awaiting the neon collection by models own so when I saw it in all its glory in Boots yesterday I grabbed the whole lot...especially as it is 3 4 2 in there at the min so I got the whole lot and a cool pink nail art pen for £20...bargain!

When I saw them I was like...wow! these are true neons alright and I was super excited to try them.  I have done a lazy girls answer to swatching these as I wanted to wear them all so I have shown you a finger a time lol!!

First up is Bubblegum.  This is a few shades darker from your average bubblegum pink but boy it sure is pretty.  I love this, it is bright, super bright in fact but very wearable....I found this to be one of the sheerest, I used 3 coats over a white base.

Toxic Apple.  Love the name...love the colour...love this polish!!  Again this one was quite sheer, 3 coats and I felt a fourth could have helped...again I wore this over a white base.  Toxic apple is like a acid lime green.  Yep this is totally a in your face colour but I LOVE it!!

Pukka Purple.  This name cracks me up!! yes it is a pukka purple indeed, I love it very much BUT I don't know if it is neon enough...compared to the others this is without doubt a softer colour.  Also this was the most opaque out of the collection....could be a 1 coater!

Pink Punch.  Hmmmmm is it pink? is it coral? I am not sure, it falls somewhere between the two! Either way it is a superb polish.  This needed 3 coats, I layered it over a white.

Luis Lemon.  I don't really get the name.  This is an acid yellow...madly bright but once again I really love it!  3 coats over a white and I felt it could benefit from a fourth.

Overall I was really really impressed with these polishes.  I loved the vibrant colours and I loved the cool frosted glass bottles.  These are supposed to be kept in the fridge to keep the fluorescent colour vibrant.  I don't know if I Will be keeping these in my fridge so the jury is out to how well these last outside in normal temperature.  If you love a neon then girls you must own these, they are super fun and funky and will definitely get your talons noticed!!

  2. It's a shame they are sheer - I'm tempted by the green and the orange but will probably leave the rest - I was hoping the purple would be more vibrant like China Glaze Creative Fantasy :) lovely swatches - really helpful - thank you :) xx

    1. I totally agree emma, the purple wasn't nearly as vibrant as I would have liked...still pretty but not neon emough. I would recc them though as when you do layer them over a white they are super bright,....just more agro I would have liked xxxx

  3. They look amazing!! I don't think I could cope with such sheer polish though!! haha I'd be able to just keep it in my room, it's as cold as a fridge at the moment xx
