Guest posts!

I am so so pleased to introduce this new bit of lovliness to my blog.....i had never thought about adding guest posts until i stumbled on the idea on my facebook page.  What a fantastic idea.  If you would like to add you guest post here, then please do email me at michelletravis_341@msn.com  so lets begin the magic my lovelies.  Today and my very first polish beauty post comes from Amy, she is such a lovely girlie and i am truely honoured for her to be my first guest...welcome my sweet...so here she is......

Guest Post from my beautiful sister Zoe..NERD LACQUER CYANCE FRICTION!

Hey my angels, i am so excited to share with you a VERY special guest post by my one and only sister, Zoe.  She is just the best, i have been dying to get her on here for aaaages, not only has she got the most beautiful naturanails ever but boy she can do a beautiful paint job.  So without further ado here she is.

Now i am excited to do this guest post for 2 reasons. Firstly with this being my sisters blog and i feel honoured that i am doing this. By no means am i on par with mimi's capabilities with nail art, but i do like to paint my nails VERY often, and i am glad me and my gorgeous sister share the love of polish, and between us have a collection to die for! Secondly, mimi asked me to do this particular mani as she loves this polish and with the wonderful nerdlacquer's return, would be an apt post.

So i have Nerdlacquer Cyance Friction to show you.
I was actually hoping that this polish would be leaning more towards a blue than green, i dont own a terrific amount of green and its not a colour i love, BUT.....this colour is a stunner!! Its does veer more towards green but holy cow, do you see all that glitter??!! It has gold hex glitter, teal square glitter making it stand out from the green polish, and fine gold glitter that strangly look pinky in certain lighting, and hard to capture on camera!

This was opaque in 2 coats, but i used 3 just to make sure i had no vnl! The application was amazing and the glitters lay flat with no curling. Had to shift some of the gold hex around to ensure even coverage but that was no biggie. Dry time with REALLY fast. I also put 2 coats of seche vite for extra shine! I can't wait to own more, i may do another guest post with Nerds 'Warrior Ethos' in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled.

Howdy hi,

Well, let me first say what an honour it is to be here supporting Mimi and her blog (which I LOVE btw). Let me introduce myself, I'm Amy, a polish sister of the most wonderful Mimi. Whilst, like a lot of my polish buddies, Mimi and I have never met (to be rectified in the new year… boooyahhh) Mimi is a most treasured friend and we have bonded over the wonderful and colourful world of polish. Now, whilst my nails and my collection are nothing like hers (I threaten to steal her collection ALL the time) I do have a few beauties up my sleeves which she doesn't seem to have…. so please, without further ado, let me introduce to you a few beauties from the new Model's Own collections……..

Be still my heart….. the Beetle Juice collection is stunning. A set of duo chromes packed with pizzaz and punch to knock any polisher lover to there feet. This beaut is Purple Blue, but oh my it is so much more than that. Gold, bronze, pink, purple, blue, this polish is a whole rainbow in one. And being a Model's Own its a modest price of £5 ANNNND even better news they are being stocked at some larger Boots now and on line at Boots.com as well, and you know what that means…. Advantage points to buy yourself something pretty
Not resting on there backsides at all after these beauties, Model's Own have thrown out an amazing holo collection called Wonderland. Here you can see Southern lights which is a subtle pink packing a MAHOOOOSIVE holo punch.
After adding this baby to my collection I knew I couldn't stop there, so I had to pick up Northern Lights. A purple based holo, which is as equally as stunning as its sister above. You can see it here with Lady of the Lake on my ring finger which is by A-England. Sweet sweet Model's Own…. How I love thee.

Nicole gets nailed guest post!!

Yay yay yay today i have for you a special treat...my second guest post by the beautiful Nicole at Nicole gets Nailed....she has done an amazing job at creating for me a stunning gradient polka dot number,.....here she is lovlies and i hope you enjoy xxxx

Hiya
everyone!!  It’s Nicole from
Nicole
gets Nailed

here, when I saw Mimi’s call for guest posters, I was all over that like icing
on cake!!  I’ve been blogging since June and haven’t had the opportunity to do a
guest post for someone yet, so this is definitely an exciting opportunity for
me!!

As
I mentioned, I’ve been blogging since June and have been loving every minute of
it!!  I love to do nail art and have participated in some super great challenges
that let’s me get creative and try my hand at things I never thought I would
do!  I’m currently doing the 31 Day Challenge, I think we’re on day 23, and
that’s been a blast - I’ve met some amazing artists and have really enjoyed
seeing different takes on the same theme, the talent out there is
amazaballs!!

When
Mimi and I started talking about what we wanted to do, I suggested a theme and
Mimi had an even better idea - mani’s created using eachothers favorite color
and technique - how cool is that?!?  Mimi’s favorite color is blue and she loves
polka dots, so off I went and created this!!

Base
Coat:  Orly Bonder

Background
Color:  I did one coat of Finger Paints Papier Mache and then topped it off with
like 4 coats of NYC Cashmere

For
the polka dots:  I used 3 mini Orly polishes I picked up at Shoppers Drug Mart -
unfortunately there’s no name - the package came with 5 colors
Ombre-fied.

I
hope you’ve enjoyed my creation, it’s been an honor to entertain you!!  Don’t
forget to check out Mimi’s guest post over at
Nicole
gets Nailed
,
where I hope you’ll get the chance to have a look around!  I’m currently hosting
my very first giveaway - my
100
Follower EPIC Giveaway

- it’s open to US and Canadian residents and closes at midnight on October 31st
- have a look see at what’s up for grabs, there’s some pretty great
stuff!!

Hope
to see you soon!!

Holla,
N

Guest post by my lovely friend Inky Whiskers

I am so excited for you guys, and excited for myself to have the one of my very best friends i have made in the polish world doing a guest post for me tonight. I have been so lucky to have met such an amazing person, in the short time i have been blogging inky has been a constant friend, giving me such lovely comments and cracking me up in the process with her quirky catchphrases...like holy guacamole...it still makes me chuckle even now. Please pop by her blog and show her the love you have showed me, she really is a total sweetheart! Find her right here! So here she is...enjoy.

Never too Late for No H8!
Hello Dahlings!
My name is Inky Whiskers & our beloved Mistress Mimi has graciously invited me to provide a guest post for her blog & here I am! I wanted to do something special with the RAK polish Mimi kindly sent me & I missed posting a purple support mani on Nov. 8th, so I’m feeding 2 cats with one fish. (I don’t like to throw stones at birds.)

HOLY FREAKIN GUACOMOLE THAT IS GORGEOUS!!! Let me introduce you to my 1st Jade polish: Holografico Fascinio Violeta. Purple rainbows…does it get any better than this? I think not! This baby could be a one coater, but I like to wrap my tips between coats, so you’re looking at 2 coats with no topcoat. Me being me & me being all about the nail art I had to add a lil somethin’ somethin’.

I used Orly Liquid Vinyl & V shaped nail masks to add V French tips with V half-moons on my ring fingers as an accent. I also added a bit of floral bling from the craft store. (These flowers come in lots of colors & have a bit of sticky foam on the back. I recommend removing the foam as it makes the flower stick up from the nail quite a bit.) I love how those rainbows shimmer across each nail even with topcoat!

If you haven’t entered Mimi’s OPI 250 Follower Give-a-way yet…WHAT ARE YOU WATING FOR? It’s under ‘October’ in the archive on the right side of the page you’re looking at right now. GO! You can’t win if you don’t enter.

Thank you so much Mistress Mimi for my purple polish treat & letting me come play on your blog! You are an AWESOME Lady!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
