Day 20 = textured nails on the 31 day challenge. Everyone else is showing the likes of the Opi liquid sands (which i am very jelous by the way) ,i want these so much but they are very thin on the ground here in the UK...but trust me they will be mine very soon!
Now my lovely hubby bought me this set, nails inc bling it on feathers for christmas.....shhhhh dont tell him but..............i hate it!!! i loved every idea of this set (enough for me to put in on the christmas list) but i am totally let down by it.
In the set you recieve 2 pots of bling it on 'feathers', 1 mini Porchester Square, 1 applicator, 1 mini tray to roll the finger on and 1 mini caviar top coat. So basically how this works is you base coat your nails, apply 1 coat of Porchester Square..i allowed that to dry then on the second coat you roll your finger in the glitter..pat it down with the applicator (gently), top coat then you are done.
I didn't like the overall look of these at all, i don't get why nails inc would call this 'feathers' as it is nothing like feathers at all ...just uber amounts of bar glitter, which i am not overly fond of anyway. Once they were dry they were SUPER gritty, seriously you need a good couple of generous coats of seche to get a somewhat smooth feel, and by then i felt they felt awfully thick.
Another thing i didn't like was the mess...arggghh be prepared for some mess girls. I used the tray to roll my finger on with only one nail and found most of the glitter gathered at the centre of my nail because i have long nails, maybe if you have small nails if the tray would work better...so for the rest i just used kitchen roll. The glitter gathered in my cuticles...everywhere. Anyhow this is the end result guys.
I will see you guys tomorrow hopefully with a better polish!
Oh, that is an awesome manicure. Kisses.
