Disney Challenge Ariel

Omg guys, I am so sorry for my missing posts on this challenge...yes I know, it is only 2 but I always feel gutted when life takes hold and I cant devote the time and effort to it.  My hubby hurt his back and we spent, like all day at the hospital, which is why I wasn't able to do the last 2.  But I am back, and with a movie I loved!! Yep Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

I decided to do some cute fish scales in different colours and of course little Ariel herself.

Hope you guys like this and I will see you soon for the next instalment!

Disney Challenge...Mulan....hmmm

Argggh why oh why cant every day be the same...art wise i mean? yesterdays Gothic snow white was so cool because it came together so well, i LOVED doing that.  Today, i decided to opt for mulan in a traditional sense because to be honest i ha vent seen the film so i don't know the character very well at all.

From the pics i found on the Internet my mulan doesn't look Chinese enough for my liking, super damn!

I decided to do some newspaper nails to, using Chinese newspaper, that looked kinda cool and i liked that a lot....

So there we have it...a not Chinese looking enough Mulan, check out the other ladies taking part!

Disney Lady And The Tramp plus my baby!

Welllll here i am again...2 posts in one day, wooop!!  So today i bring to you my Lady And The Tramp nails.

Ohhh this movie is so so special to me....firstly its one that features dogs...that alone is going to be a winner BUT it features a very special breed of dog that makes my heart melt a little...Ok, it melts a lot!  That breed is of course a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

I adore this breed so much so i own one!  I wanted one like this so i searched high a low for a ruby one, and i found my perfect, soulful eyed little fluff ball at 8 weeks old.  The rest is history, Harry is my baby and i couldn't love him more if i tried!...check him out!!

So i did the lady and the tramp sharing the meatballs together....adorable! I would like to thank The Polish Art  Addiction for her fab tutorial on this...i did add my own spin on it but i did follow some of her tutorial, she is awesome!

As always i hope you like this, next up in this challenge are the princesses!

Disney Tarzan Nails

Hey guys, hope you are all doing well today.  So we are onto day 10 (I think) and today's offering is Disney's Tarzan.

Now I must admit I have never seen this movie...I don't know if I really have a strong desire to either as when I was looking for images of this film, they all look a little blah.....maybe I am wrong....if you happen to have seen it and loved it, please let me know...you never know i may just watch it on your say so!

So i decided to do the Tarzan and Jane...amongst trees.  To be honest i sat with all my paints and brushes by my side and i really didn't know which way this mani was going, i didn't know which of the characters i was going to do...

So there we have it, a Disney Tarzan manicure.  I hope you guys like it, be sure to check out the other ladies taking part xxxxx

Disney 101 Dalmatian Nail Art

I'm late again guys....only because i really thought about recycling my post i did back in January.  I created some Dalmatian nails back then and i loved them (check them out here) so i didn't know if i should just re post them....nope, i wanted to bring you a fresh design that is all mine, so i got my paints and brushes and started painting...here they are!

I decided to copy pics off the Internet i found of patch the pup and Rolly and of course the evil Cruella!

I am glad to say these didn't give me half the trouble my tangled ones did, so i am glad to have my mojo back!

As always i hope you like them...i am now off to a family BBQ and the odd glass of wine.....HIDE THE PAINTBRUSHES Lol! Have a great bank holiday weekend xxx

The manicure that made me want to throw away my paint! Disney Tangled Rapunzel

Hello my lovelies.  I am back with you tonight...with a challenge that is late.  The reason it is late is because it was a pain in the ass to complete.  Ahhhhh the elusive tangled nail art ALMOST beat me! I felt to chuck my brushes and paints in the bin, boycott any Tangled movie or talk and run for the hills!

Seriously this is the most hardest part of this challenge so far, resulting in me removing my manicure THREE TIMES before I settled on this one.  I watched tutorials on how to draw this character, I tried actually drawing Rapunzel on paper first, I tried damn everything to get her right.

So my conclusion here is....whilst I LOVE Tangled the movie...I HATED doing this art....it wasn't enjoyable like it always is, it was a bloody chore and rest assured I will not be rushing to paint this again!

I hope you guys like this mani, trust me when I say it was hard hard hard to do and whilst I am still not super proud of how this turned out I am proud of my commitment to try and try.....and try again lol!

Disney Nail Art Beauty And The Beast

Ahhhhh here we are with another classic movie, with Beauty and the Beast being the prompt.  Gosh I haven't seen this film in such a long time, I really must dig it out and watch it!

I am loving this challenge, it really stretches you and makes you try things you never thought you could do.  Now I must admit, I am a perfectionist and I was seriously worried about doing this one as the beast is just so hard to do.  I settled on him like this but I would love to revisit this at a later date and perfect him.

I deliberately chose the Belle in the ordinary blue outfit because I wanted to do the glam Belle for later in the challenge.

So what do you guys think? do you love Disney like I do?! xxxx

'Little Mermaid' nails Evil Ursula!

Ok guys, here I am again, back with little mermaid nails.  Now I know....Ariel and the cute characters are nowhere to be seen and my loves there is a method in my madness!

Later in the challenge we get to do a host of Disney princesses so I am going to throw all the cuteness in there....for now I bring you the awesome evilness of Ursula....she is awesome.....

I love the princesses very much in these films but I have to say I always love the 'villlains' just as much....if not more.  It makes me think of some awesome figurines that graced the Disney Store at Christmas with the Disney villains...they were AMAZING and I wanted them bad!

So here is my homage to Ursula with her evil tentacles spreading across my nails....love this!

Disney Nail Art Challenge..Alice in Wonderland

Yes and double yes....I am so bloody excited to start this challenge hosted by Rambles Of A Polish Addict...I have been planning my designs carefully and seeking inspiration wherever possible...so hopefully I can bring you guys some awesome nail art....along with my other fellow Disney fans who you can see in the links down below.

So day one is Alice in Wonderland and OMG I am so pleased to start with this movie.  It is a  film I love and always makes me smile so it was nothing but pleasure to put together this mani.

There is so much I could have included in this manicure but space and time wouldn't allow, so I decided to do the things that make this the iconic film it is...The Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, Cards, Mad Hatters Hat and of course Alice.

I struggled to paint all of Alice's face so in the end I decided to seek some inspiration and found some pics on the Internet of just her hairline and bow, which I thought was pretty neat.  Now I wish I would have spent the extra time perfecting her face as I feel I have been a little lazy here.

Other than that though I am beyond happy with how they turned out...I think they are fun and pretty damn funky especially with the neon colours I used where I could...it funks it up a little!

I really hope you guys like this manicure as much as I do and as always please check out the other ladies taking part...I cant wait to see what everyone comes up with!!

31 Day Challenge...day 29 inspired by a blogger 101 dalmatians

The end is nigh my dear friends..we are now onto day 29 and i am genuinely sad this challenge is coming to a close...i suppose i should quit at the end of this challenge but i love them so much i am taking part in a February one to.  I love these challenges because they allow so much scope to try things you never thought you could do or ever would do.

Todays challenge is to be inspired by a fellow blogger.  Now let me say this straight away, i found this incredibly hard as i follow many amazing bloggers out there, i am inspired by each and everyone i follow so i feel super mean only picking one.  I have decided to recreate this mani by Kristine at Pink and Polished.

She did this a few days ago now and i just had to tell her how fab i thought it was...also that i wanted to join in her Disney Days challenge to lol (i know..i just cant stop lol).  Her version (and much better!) can be seen here.  I am blown away by her manicure and was so excited i could do one of my own.

I am a huge dog fan...i love them so much and this remains one of my fave Disney films....i wish i could keep this mani on for ages but another challenge awaits me.  Thank you to the lovely and talented Kristine for inspiring me to try this as i never thought i could have done it..who would have know Mimi can!  xxxx
