Disney Nail Art Beauty And The Beast

Ahhhhh here we are with another classic movie, with Beauty and the Beast being the prompt.  Gosh I haven't seen this film in such a long time, I really must dig it out and watch it!

 I am loving this challenge, it really stretches you and makes you try things you never thought you could do.  Now I must admit, I am a perfectionist and I was seriously worried about doing this one as the beast is just so hard to do.  I settled on him like this but I would love to revisit this at a later date and perfect him.

I deliberately chose the Belle in the ordinary blue outfit because I wanted to do the glam Belle for later in the challenge.

Nostalgic Lacquer rid of me...wow wow wow!

Don't you just love it when you get nail mail you forgot you had ordered??   I saw this polish by Nostalgic Lacquer featured on a blog a while ago and on impulse bought it because it looked amazing.  I don't know how but I totally forgot I ordered it until it wangled its way through my letterbox today.

I was feeling a little 'blah' today but this has really cheered me up, its bloody beautiful!! it is called Rid of me....I suggest a rename for this baby...something along the lines of magic in a bottle! 

Now you all know I love a blue....light, dark, neon, baby, navy...its all good to me.  I also adore anything that will turn an otherwise lovely polish into something much more...and this guys is it!!

I decided to whack on a new favourite blue of mine, Chelsea Girl by Color Club....here it is guys...pretty lovely huh?

Now for a switch up before your very eyes! (excuse the spam a thon...I couldn't resist!)

Rid of me is a beautiful  blue jelly polish with oodles of blue gold and green shimmer.  I imagine you could wear this alone but I have seen this used as a topper and I preferred to use it like that. I don't know what it is about this polish but It just makes my nails glow from the inside, I realllllllly love it! 

I would absolutely recommend this polish to you guys, formula is amazing, dry time is fast and  received the polish quite quickly considering I am in the UK

SUPER wicked leopard print born pretty review!

Hey guys I am so excited to show you guys my mani I am wearing today.  It is a supppper funky leopard print mani...courtesy of Born Pretty and their excellent leopard print 3d stickers.

  The beautiful Daisy offered me the chance to review something so I jumped at the chance to try white and green leopard print 3d stickers   I love to freehand my art...but damn it takes time to do.  These are the lazy girls answer to a fantastic professional looking manicure that, if done right...will last longer than a hand painted mani!

I started off painting my base colours on.  I wanted something fun and funky so I chose my color club colours I reviewed yesterday...I opted for the pink poptastic and green twiggie....this is a perfect combination on the nail

I LOVE the glitter on edge of the stickers, this immediately  adds some girly bling to your mani without you even needing to do anything other than apply them!!! you apply them by simply taking them off the thick plastic sleeve with a pair of tweezers..carefully avoiding touching the glue on the back of the sticker, place it on the desired place on the nail....topcoat...done!! 

I always review items with complete honesty, it would only be fair to my valued readers.  I say if you like the idea of having a professional looking manicure...less time in the salon and a fraction of the price of a hand painted mani then get yourself over to Born Pretty!

Color Club Poptastic collection

Hey guys.  I am so excited to show you guys my swatches today...they are awesome!  Now I love me a bit of Color Club...they are my go to brand...I can always find something great by them.  So The other day I was in TKMAX and came across the poptastic collection and I bought them straight away.  I am tired of this dreary winter we have had and I am so ready to be rocking some neon/brights!  These are BY FAR the most beautiful neons I own.....here are the swatches

Almost famous.  Wow what a yellow this is...it is perfect sunshine in a bottle...proper neon but not unwearable..god I wish my camera didn't wash my skin tone out as much....in the flesh, this is waaaay nicer!

Wham! Pow! and wow it is pow...right in your face!!!! This is a SERIOUS neon...in fact I would go as far as to say this is the most neon colour I have ever worn on my nails! I personally wouldn't wear this alone..it is just to in your face for me...but toned down I say hell yeah!!

Poptastic.  This is a beautiful beautiful girly Barbie meets neon pink.  I am seriously in love with this one...and so is my little girl...who doesn't like pink...but she likes this!

Warhol.  This is a deeper ultra bright pink....wowza I love it....I actually own 2 bottles of this....seriously this is STUNNING in the flesh!

Pucci-licious.  A bright....not quite neon lilac...beautiful colour what more can I say....oh and I LOVE the name!!

Twiggie.  Oh for goodness sakes...green lovers NEED this in their collection, I adore adore adore this.  It is not like any other green I own...it is so bright but not unwearble! it is a light light green...so pretty and feminine!

Chelsea girl.  Yep you know I'm gonna love this one dontcha?! its blue...so I am gonna love it just for that but seriously this is a beautiful luchious blue...rich and bright...right up my street!

All of these really captured my heart, I cant believe I haven't owned the set sooner to be honest.  I used 3 coats for each of the swatches...application was easy peasy with all of them.  My picks?....hmmmm...twiggie...poptastic and Chelsea girl!

31 day challenge day 5...purple

Hey beauties.  Day 5 d i have a cool design to show you....a Mimi original if you please.  The prompt for today is purple.   I love purple...i have to much purple...actually strike that, i don't have enough purple, well you cant can you?!

 

I ave taken a few days to get into this challenge, with yesterdays roses being a design i was proud of, today i am in love with these, the look even more wicked in the flesh!

So what do you think?  i totally stuck to purple here (except the silver) all the others are just different tones of purple mashed up.  I used China Glaze Sweet Hook as my base (omg this is  stunner of a polish) then for the random shapes i used color club disco dress, color club Mrs Robinson and China Glaze Urban Night. 

I think these look the nuts...as do the other entrants of this challenge so please do check em out! xxxx
