Well hello lovelies, I told you I would be back...and here I am!! I hope this day finds you all well and happy.
A while ago I was contacted by the lovely Abbey at Julep asking me to take part in a blogathon of nail art for Halloween. Of course I am a sucker for nail art, and Halloween for that matter so I jumped at the chance.
Here my friends is my little design I came up with. This is all done free-handed. Considering I haven't really done detailed nail art for some time im kinda pleased with these...although I can see my mistakes!
For my design I used a Colour Club green (the label had come off so I cant tell you which one lol and the pumpkin was of course Julep Marjorie. The black and white was acrylic paint. I would of course recommend you checking out Juleps nail polish colours as they have some awesome colours!
Abbey also forwarded me a special nail art tutorial for my lovely readers to try...I would loooove to see your manicures when you try this great tutorial...please do let me see!

The Return Of Mimi
Well hello my sweets! Yes it really is me...Mimi....remember me? I am still alive and kicking! See here I am!!!
It has been a looooong time right, well to cut a very very long story short, I kinda lost my mojo a little (ok, a lot) Some might remember my beautiful mum was quite poorly the last time we spoke, and its been an onward thing ever since. We are now in the beginning stages of her having a lung transplant. This my dearests is why I have been absent for ages, I just couldn't focus my time on my blog like I used to.......
I am trying my best to get back into something I adore doing....nails, as I have had a lot of time feeling pretty sad...I need some sunshine and nails makes me smile lol.
So here I am saying hello to my lovely friends I made on here and making a promise you will see more of me lol. Could I ask my lovely loyal followers to pop over to this link and like my new page on facebook, it would mean the world to me ;) You will see me within a few days with hopefully an awesome Mimi Halloween comeback https://www.facebook.com/mimimanicures13

I think my shots speak for themselves...utter loveliness even if I do say so myself! I thought these were just to nice not to add extra glam factor so I added a little gem on my ring fingers...loving this! Have an awesome weekend my friends! xxx

Shellac Tropix and Additives mix
Another quickie for you. I thought I would pop on some CND Shellac in Tropix. As you can see this is a really pretty colour, a beautiful vibrant coral, which I adore.....I am loving coral at the moment!!
But me being me, I needed to spice things up a bit, sooooooo I decided to have a little play with my additives. I am loving this so much, its fun and funky.
I used for the design additves in bright red, medium green, midnight tide, black and haute pink. These are all CND. Once I top coated I added a very thin layer of china Glaze fairy dust for added sparkle.

Random nail art, snake skin....ish? IBD Fancy Fingers
I thought I would show you a bit of an accident manicure I did. I went to the professional beauty show in London last weekend and wanted to jazz my nails up a bit.
Well this wasn't exactly the thing I wanted to do at all but the more I played the more annoyed I was getting so I decided to just abandon ship and go to bed.
As it turned out they wernt to bad, some people at the show even thought they were nail wraps so I guess they were OK. This isn't a design I would do again on myself though, its a bit 'out there' for me to wear as a whole manicure lol. I used for this manicure IBD Gel Polish in Fancy fingers and for the art I used OPI Eurso Euro and the black was just a regular nail art pen!

French Dotty Madness done in gel polish
I know....twice in one day, im good arnt I?! lol
So my polish collection is ever growing and as stated I want to branch out with gel polish. I am kind of a self confessed newbie to gels but I must admit I am loving them....but maaaan I miss doing my nail art like I used to do.
Whilst this is not on the same par as the detailed work I have done with acrylic paints, this is a doable design I can offer to clients and its done using gel polish.
I was asked to do a funky design and this is where the manicure ended up. These pictures were taken almost one week after I did them and as you can see they are still perfect, this pleases me!!
I used for this manicure....Red Carpet Manicure, I simply love your nails, Red Carpet Manicure Black Stretch Limo and Gellux Purely White.

Red Carpet Manicure....And The Winner is......
Hello my lovelies!! Hope this Thursday morning sees you all well and good. Today I am showing you my manicure I did with the new love of my life, Red Carpet Manicure gel polish.
I am wearing, And The Winner Is?.... and yep, I can confirm it is indeed a winner. I bloody love this polish, it is so flattering and pretty, even on a crappy cloudy miserable day like today I have had no trouble capturing the sparkle that encases this polish!
It is stunning rich teal in colour with a beautiful added shimmer to add depth to the colour. Love it!
I used 3 coats for these shots, and whilst I don't mind a slight VNL for those wanting complete coverage might want to layer this over a black base...also I'm guessing that would add even more depth to this polish as well as stretching the bottle a bit further.
I will also add these pictures have been taken after SEVEN days of wear...see I have no lifting, no chipping, no tip wear and they are still smooth and shiny! I really am in love with this brand.....my only criticism is I wish the bottles were bigger and our retailers here had more colours in stock!

Upcoming Floral Nails Inc collection
Annnd hot off the press I have a sneaky pic of the new Nails Inc floral collection.
I must say I have my beady eyes on at least, let me see....all of these!!! I am pretty excited to see something a little different sneaking its way onto the market as I am kind of over the whole texture sands and usual boring seasonal colours I end up with every year purely because they are new, then I have dupes all over the show!
These will be hitting the shops in early April and will be £12 each...best get me saving!

| The colour line up is from left to right: Daisy Lane, Floral Street Mews, Queensgate Gardens and Richmond Gardens. |

Red Carpet Manicure Star Power
Hey guys!!! my apologies for my inconsistency in posting recently. I have been working on improving on my acrylics because this year I plan on making Mimi Manicures my profession so I have had to sacrifice computer time for real life for the moment....I will get there and be back to posting more often....fingers crossed lol!
But for the time being I am throwing this one o But there for you guys to see. I am soooo tired of this winter we are having, it is so long and so bloody gloomy here in the UK, I NEED some sunshine! My holiday cant come soon enough, but that's not until August, soooooo, I decided to opt for an ultra girly and super bright manicure....and here I give you Star Power.
Man I love this!!! As I said I want to take Mimi Manicures mobile soon so I have been focusing on building my gel polish collection. I saw this particular one on a lovely girlie from my local sallys and knew I needed this!!
This was 3 thin coats, each cured under an LED lamp for 30 seconds, as well as using the prep, structure and brilliance base and top coat. I have to say I am damn impressed!! My nails have an almost plastic feel to them, and not in an annoying sense either, I cant stop feeling my nail plate lol. They are super shiny, smooth and just pretty, making at least something bright and beautiful in this horrid winter!
I will say the colour on the bottle does seem more neon pink than the actual colour turns out to be on the nail, but to be honest I prefer the colour it turns out on the nail! It takes on almost a darker neon pink with red tones to me. In any case, I am in love with this one. Bring on the summer say!

Glitter Bunny Indie Review....A NEW FAVOURITE i think!!
Glitter Bunny Indie Polish Review!
Hey guys, how are you all??! I hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas time, wow I can't believe Christmas day has come and gone already! Anyways to alleviate boredom on this boxing day I have thrown myself into my reviews and I am bringing you today the fan-tabulas Glitter Bunny polish. Strap yourselves in cos we have four beauties to show you today.
First up we have Rainbows on Crack. OMG how funny Is that name?? Love it!! So this was pretty in the bottle...even prettier on the nail. I used 3 coats for these shots but it could be a 2 coater for sure. Formula was so nice, the polish applied nice and evenly. The holographic particles showed up in every lighting. I reeeeally loved this one much more than I thought I would!
Here we have Double Grape Bubble. My god this is a stunning polish! It is so beautiful it actually appears luminous on my nails! It is a deep vibrant purple colour with blue undertones, with a subtle yet noticeable shimmer throughout and small and large hex glitters. I used 3 coats for these shots which were needed as the first 2 coats were a little streaky, but on the 3rd it all evened out nicely. I cannot tell you how much I adore this colour, wow its amazing!!
And here we have Confetti Cake. Again, hats off for the colour...LOVE it!! It is sky blue in colour with cute pink, purple and teal matte glitter thrown in for good measure. I needed to get a cocktail stick and mix the glitter around a little as it had gathered a lot to the side, but once I did that it applied nice and evenly. I would definitely wear this a lot in the summer, it is so bright and cute it just screams spring summer to me! I used 3 coats for the shots.
Lastly we have Part Of That World. This polish was made as part of a trio set from The Little Mermaid Collection. It couldn't be more fitting in my opinion! This is a deep blue polish with green undertones, it immediately makes me think of the deep sea, without even knowing that was the inspiration behind it!! The glitters which are turquoise and purple are just the perfect combination to an already beautiful polish!! This applied like a dream, no application or glitter issues at all! I used 3 coats for these shots.
So when the lovely Nicole from Glitter Bunny got in touch I was super excited as I hadn't heard of this indie brand before. I am so pleased to be introduced this way as I can honestly say I loved each and every polish I reviewed here. My favourite being Double Grape Bubble!! So not only are they one of the most superior in quality they are suuuuper cheap on postage to, based in Israel the postage is only $4.50 per package internationally...no matter how many polishes are ordered! The polishes are also cruelty free and vegan so rest assured there are no nasties here! highly recommend you checking Nicole out on her facebook page and check out her fab creations here . Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the holidays, lots of Mimi love being sent to you all!

I Love Nail Polish Cygnus Loop (H)
Well well well I guess it is now the appropriate time when it isn't to early to wish you all a very merry Christmas!! In my way of a present to you I am treating you to some nail porn pics of the STUNNING STUNNING STUNNING (did I mention this is STUNNING?!) I love nail polish Cygnus Loop (H)
This is my first ever purchase of the brand, I love Nail Polish. I have heard such great things about the polish and the service which is why I am annoyed with myself for leaving it until now to have any dealings. Not only was the shipping super quick (im in the UK) the packaging was adorable! I totally forgot to take pics but the paper used to wrap this was super cute! Now onto the stuff that really matters...polish!!
Freeking AMAZING might come close! dare I even say it, I love this polish more than my Enchanted Polish which is a hard beat! This is the holographic counterpart to the Chrome polish. Not only is this a true chrome polish, I find it doesn't enhance every imperfection on the nail like so many chromes do. It is a very forgiving polish which is a winner for me! I also looooved how opaque this was, I actually could have used 1 coat but went for 2 just because I am programmed to do that! I also used no top coat and look how friggin amazing it is without!!!
The colour is impossible to nail down to one stand alone colour..it shifts from purple, blue orange, yellow and even green in some lights!!!! and with the holographic sparkle to add the bling, it just adds that something more special to an already special polish. In the sun this beauty is breathtaking, making driving extremely hazardous! lol.
I have to say this polish has really made me want every single one on the website....new years resolution? mimi must own more I love nail polish polishes! You can find this polish here at the website
