French Dotty Madness done in gel polish

I know....twice in one day, im good arnt I?! lol

So my polish collection is ever growing and as stated I want to branch out with gel polish.  I am kind of a self confessed newbie to gels but I must admit I am loving them....but maaaan I miss doing my nail art like I used to do.

Whilst this is not on the same par as the detailed work I have done with acrylic paints, this is a doable design I can offer to clients and its done using gel polish.

I was asked to do a funky design and this is where the manicure ended up.  These pictures were taken almost one week after I did them and as you can see they are still perfect, this pleases me!!

I used for this manicure....Red Carpet Manicure, I simply love your nails, Red Carpet Manicure Black Stretch Limo and Gellux Purely White.

Is this the best white polish ever? China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around.....

I am so excited....I think I might have found the best white polish in a long time and I am going to share this with you tonight.  I picked up China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around at my local Sallys today.  Now I have seen the Avant Garden Collection kicking around on the internet but I wasn't really thrilled with the colours to be honest.  I have to say after seeing them in the flesh I have totally changed my mind, they are gorgoues !!

I have picked up this beautiful white polish today.  I loved the shimmer I saw glistening in the bottle so I picked it up.  Now white polishes do not like me at all, I am pale skinned and hardly any white compliments me...it always looks like tip ex on me!  Well this different in my humble opinoun

DLA is a beautiful milky creamy white...not stark but not overly creamy (if you get me) with a lovely glass fleck. 

It applied rather sheer at first, I needed 3 coats to reach a decent coverage.  I wish it was a tad more opaque but that is my only critism on an otherwise really pretty white.

I decided to add some monochrome goodness with some black stripes....gotta say I am loving this look!

day 1 of crumpets 31 day challenge...black and white Nails Inc Leather

Happy new year to my fab readers, i hope 2013 is THE best year yet for you all and there are not lots of sore heads today!!  So i am kicking off with a bumper load of posts, i have a giveaway i am going to post tonight....i have 2 concrete Nails Inc to show you, but first is day 1 of the 31 day challenge...yay i am so excited o take part in this one! thank you Debbie for hosting this...it makes all the hurrah of christmas and new year festivities wind down nicely...with something to occupy those cold January nights!!

So todays prompt is black and white.  I am uber excited to show you my black polish i am wearing for this....its the new lovely from nails inc leather.  I am so so lucky to be able to have this polish as it is absolutely sold out everywhere after Alexa Chung wore it on the red carpet....when i saw it i HAD to have it, even if it wasn't going to be my cup of tea.  As it turns out i friggin LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!  Just look it!!  The application is brilliant...2 coats and your done, it really does look like leather on the nails.  I didn't top coat these as i think these should look slightly matte. 

Now onto the design, i couldn't quite bring myself to do a full over the nail design to cover the funkiness that is the leather bling look so i went all S&M on my bad ass and added white dots and studs.  I gotta say, if i was into a full on leather look these nails would totally rock, i just wanna hunt down my whip.....oops enough mistress mimi! hehe.
