Back to school, paper doodle nails

Sad face...after 2 glorious weeks off with my beautiful daughter, yesterday she had to return to school.  I adore spending time with her, she is such a cool person and so funny, we have such fun together.

So yesterday I decided to do a manicure with a 'back to school' theme. 

I had researched the Internet to give me a little inspiration and I found some super cool ones from kelsies nail files and thought they were insanely cute!

So this is my version.  I used China Glaze Dandy Lyin Around (my favourite white!) and Jade Creamoso Alga Marinha for the lines.  I then used Models own black and pink nail art pens to do my doodling with.

I think these are super super cute.  It makes such a change to do something that you don't need to be precise with.  I really hope you guys like them as much as i do! xxx

My angels Gingham Nails

Double post for you guys tonight...arnt i good to you?! Now my beautiful daughter has featured on my blog several times now, and to be honest she will be gracing your screens much more.  She is the perfect model to work on, she has amazing nails...and she is only 12 years old!!!

Tomorrow we are off out to London with 2 special friends so me and lucy did the only thing girlies can do at a time like this and prepared early.

Lucy asked me to do a gingham esque manicure for her and this my friends is what i come up with.

Although it wasn't what we were going to do, i think this turned out pretty cool!!  For the base colour i used China Glaze Dandy Lyin Around, the blue lines were created with Jade Cremoso Aiga Marinha and the darker blue was OPI Eurso Euro.

Is this the best white polish ever? China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around.....

I am so excited....I think I might have found the best white polish in a long time and I am going to share this with you tonight.  I picked up China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around at my local Sallys today.  Now I have seen the Avant Garden Collection kicking around on the internet but I wasn't really thrilled with the colours to be honest.  I have to say after seeing them in the flesh I have totally changed my mind, they are gorgoues !!

I have picked up this beautiful white polish today.  I loved the shimmer I saw glistening in the bottle so I picked it up.  Now white polishes do not like me at all, I am pale skinned and hardly any white compliments me...it always looks like tip ex on me!  Well this different in my humble opinoun

DLA is a beautiful milky creamy white...not stark but not overly creamy (if you get me) with a lovely glass fleck. 

It applied rather sheer at first, I needed 3 coats to reach a decent coverage.  I wish it was a tad more opaque but that is my only critism on an otherwise really pretty white.

I decided to add some monochrome goodness with some black stripes....gotta say I am loving this look!
