Glitter Bunny Indie Review....A NEW FAVOURITE i think!!

Glitter Bunny Indie Polish Review!

Hey guys, how are you all??! I hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas time, wow I can't believe Christmas day has come and gone already!  Anyways to alleviate boredom on this boxing day I have thrown myself into my reviews and I am bringing you today the fan-tabulas Glitter Bunny polish.  Strap yourselves in cos we have four beauties to show you today.

First up we have Rainbows on Crack.  OMG how funny Is that name?? Love it!!  So this was pretty in the bottle...even prettier on the nail.  I used 3 coats for these shots but it could be a 2 coater for sure.  Formula was so nice, the polish applied nice and evenly. The holographic particles showed up in every lighting.  I reeeeally loved this one much more than I thought I would!

Here we have Double Grape Bubble.  My god this is a stunning polish!  It is so beautiful it actually appears luminous on my nails!  It is a deep vibrant purple colour with blue undertones, with a subtle yet noticeable shimmer throughout and small and large hex glitters.  I used 3 coats for these shots which were needed as the first 2 coats were a little streaky, but on the 3rd it all evened out nicely.   I cannot tell you how much I adore this colour, wow its amazing!!

And here we have Confetti Cake.  Again, hats off for the colour...LOVE it!! It is sky blue in colour with cute pink, purple and teal matte glitter thrown in for good measure.  I needed to get a cocktail stick and mix the glitter around a little as it had gathered a lot to the side, but once I did that it applied nice and evenly.  I would definitely wear this a lot in the summer, it is so bright and cute it just screams spring summer to me!  I used 3 coats for the shots.

Lastly we have Part Of That World.  This polish was made as part of  a trio set from The Little Mermaid Collection.  It couldn't be more fitting in my opinion!  This is a deep blue polish with green undertones, it immediately makes me think of the deep sea, without even knowing that was the inspiration behind it!!  The glitters which are turquoise and purple are just the perfect combination to an already beautiful polish!!  This applied like a dream, no application or glitter issues at all!  I used 3 coats for these shots.

So when the lovely Nicole from Glitter Bunny got in touch I was super excited as I hadn't heard of this indie brand before.  I am so pleased to be introduced this way as I can honestly say I loved each and every polish I reviewed here.  My favourite being Double Grape Bubble!!  So not only are they one of the most superior in quality they are suuuuper cheap on postage to, based in Israel  the postage is only $4.50 per package internationally...no matter how many polishes are ordered!  The polishes are also cruelty free and vegan so rest assured there are no nasties here!   highly recommend you checking Nicole out on her facebook page and check out her fab creations here .  Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the holidays, lots of Mimi love being sent to you all!

I Love Nail Polish Cygnus Loop (H)

Well well well I guess it is now the appropriate time when it isn't to early to wish you all a very merry Christmas!!  In my way of a present to you I am treating you to some nail porn pics of the STUNNING STUNNING STUNNING (did I mention this is STUNNING?!) I love nail polish Cygnus Loop (H)
these 3 pics taken in natural daylight

This is my first ever purchase of the brand, I love Nail Polish.  I have heard such great things about the polish and the service which is why I am annoyed with myself for leaving it until now to have any dealings.  Not only was the shipping super quick (im in the UK) the packaging was adorable!  I totally forgot to take pics but the paper used to wrap this was super cute!  Now onto the stuff that really matters...polish!!

Freeking AMAZING might come close!  dare I even say it, I love this polish more than my Enchanted Polish which is a hard beat! This is the holographic counterpart to the Chrome polish.  Not only is this a true chrome polish, I find it doesn't enhance every imperfection on the nail like so many chromes do.  It is a very forgiving polish which is a winner for me!  I also looooved how opaque this was, I actually could have used 1 coat but went for 2 just because I am programmed to do that!  I also used no top coat and look how friggin amazing it is without!!!

The colour is impossible to nail down to one stand alone colour..it shifts from purple, blue orange, yellow and even green in some lights!!!! and with the holographic sparkle to add the bling, it just adds that something more special to an already special polish.  In the sun this beauty is breathtaking, making driving extremely hazardous! lol.

I have to say this polish has really made me want every single one on the website....new years resolution?  mimi must own more I love nail polish polishes!  You can find this polish here at the website

Pretty and Polished Animagi

Hello my lovelies!! I am here tonight with a quick post for you.  I needed to show you an awesome polish by the equally awesome Pretty & Polished...here I present to you Animagi.....!!!
ooooooh look at the holo!!!

This is a beautiful beautiful thermal polish.  It magically changes between light purple to a dark vampy purple bordering black depending on your body temperature.

Oh my goodness I LOVE this polish, it is so damn cool its not even funny!!  I love it when my tips are the darker colour, it is nail art without none of the effort!
i ran my hands under a hot tap and took this picture, hence the droplets of water!

If the awesome colour change isn't enough to draw you in, then the beautiful holo sparkle will get you.  With both the light purple and darker colour the holo is ever present, you can see it is a sparkler in any lighting.....WINNER!!!

Application was good.  It did apply rather thinly at first but it did build up coverage really nicely.  I used 4 thin coats for these shots.

I am now in desperate need of some more of these wicked thermal polishes, that I WILL own!  Find P&P here or find them at good old etsy

Update on progress of course plus Enchanted Polish Freeze Machine at its best!

Hey my lovelies!!  So I thought I would drop by and give you all an update on my nail course I am doing, the highs and lows and in between.!

We are now over half way through the course and I have to say I am quite sad at the thought of it ending, I have made some awesome friends there which I am hoping we all stay in touch when It does come to a close.  That's been the first check that I can tick off my list, as man I need to get myself a social circle!!!   Our tutor is lovely to, very warm and welcoming and has taught me much more than I expected at this stage.

My next thing I need to check off my list, turns out to be my biggest Nemesis....even bigger than acrylic itself as it turns out....MYSELF!!! doing this course has made me realise I really am my own worst critic....man I need to man up.....I find fault in EVERYTHING I do, to the point I am pointing it out to others, convinced they can see what I see, which I am told they cant!  It is so tough to have such a negative take on what you're doing.  I want everything to be perfection...NOW, which of course isn't possible when you are learning an art, which I firmly believe this is.  Even when I have the acrylic on I am obsessing if it is going to stay put, and when I hear my client has lost a nail.....well I may as well flush my own head down the toilet and stick 'I am with stupid' notes on my own forehead! So, how do I break a habit I have gotten myself into?? right now I am unsure of that answer TBH....answers on a postcard please?!   I am working on not being so hard on myself...I WILL get there I promise!
top pictures are partial tipped clear acrylic overlay.  Bottom nails are Picture Polish Aphrodisiac and Enchanted Polish Freeze Machine

So I thought I would show you guys a set of nails I did only yesterday and for once I was relatively happy with them.  I have to say the polish combo I chose for my model was a testament to my knowledge of colours that suit tones and such, this looked STUNNING on my client in the flesh, no camera would be able to capture the beauty of this as it looks in the flesh...For the base I used Picture Polish Aphrodisiac and to top it off I used Enchanted Polish Freeze Machine....amazing combo, amazing hand model=one semi(ish) happy Mimi!

Stay tuned because I have  some wicked stuff coming up, including a cult nails classic!  stay happy chikkas lots of love xxxxx

Picture Polish Super Styling!

I don't know if you guys know this...buuuuuut I love blue polish....I also love Picture Polish, so what happens when the 2 meet? THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arrrrrrgh for goodness sake, how many times can I say I love PP...and blues for that matter, from Whimsy to Cosmos I have long since had a love affair with this brand....now comes Super Styling, and my heart melts all over again!

How lucky these fantastic bloggers have been to have their creations come to life by such talented people, and Sam from Fashion Polish was one of those....I am green with envy because this colour is totally something I would have opted for!

SS is a super bright bordering along dazzling blue glitterbomb!! It is set in a nicely tinted base which means it offers great coverage, although I do recommend 3 coats to erase VNL.

The formula is once again outstanding!  Once again I cant speak highly enough of Picture Polish for a job well done.  The glitters lay completely flat meaning you only need 1 cost of top coat for a total smooth finish.

I adore adore adore this polish, it is beyond awesome in the flesh!  I thought I would mix it up a little and mattify this one and add some gold studs...I must say I love this way of wearing it to!!!

So rush forth my pretties and snap these babies up, you wont regret it!!

Picture Polish Imperial

Ahhhh Picture Polish...for goodness sake they just can do no wrong in my eyes! Another lot of collaborations brings the awesome imperial, named and created by Jeanette over at The Swatchaholic.

I am honestly in awe of the creators of these polishes, I can honestly say hand on heart, I have never had a polish from them that hasn't filled me with genuine excitement...from the sparkles, colour and the awesome formula, PP is my all time favourite brand right now....and feast your eyes on my pics and you will see why.......

More nail porn.......

Imperial is a stunning beautiful purple.  Infused with a scattered holo along with THE most pretty blue glass flecks it is just stunning....then you come to the small gold hex, well it just finishes this to perfection IMO!!

The purple base is really quite a bright purple...bordering along neonish (not in a in your face neon either) so this dries quite matte...for a lovely shine then I recommend a good quality top coat.

Formula is perfection in EVERY way.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and dry time, as always is awesome.
