'Little Mermaid' nails Evil Ursula!

Ok guys, here I am again, back with little mermaid nails.  Now I know....Ariel and the cute characters are nowhere to be seen and my loves there is a method in my madness!

Later in the challenge we get to do a host of Disney princesses so I am going to throw all the cuteness in there....for now I bring you the awesome evilness of Ursula....she is awesome.....

I love the princesses very much in these films but I have to say I always love the 'villlains' just as much....if not more.  It makes me think of some awesome figurines that graced the Disney Store at Christmas with the Disney villains...they were AMAZING and I wanted them bad!

So here is my homage to Ursula with her evil tentacles spreading across my nails....love this!

FINALLY a UK indie seller..Mum's Makeup Taras Talons

Excited much? well yes i am!  Finally we have an awesome Indie seller here in the UK in the form of the lovely Tara from Taras Talons.  I was super excited when i saw the collection Tara had launched as they are bright and summery colours.

So i picked out Mum's Makeup from this awesome collection.  All of her polishes are of things relating to her childhood.  Mums makeup is inspired by rummaging through her mums make up bag and finding sparkly goodness there.....awwww i love that!

So the polish in question is a beautiful rose coloured pink, with beautiful pink shimmer, silver micro glitter and random square silver small glitter.

The application was effortless with this, dry time was excellent and it was almost opaque in 3 coats.  I could still see a VNL with 3 coats when holding my hand up by the light, but this didn't bother me at all.  For those who it would bother, a thin coat of a similar base colour would be perfect. I loved that this dried really shiny, once i applied Seche Vite t looked like glass!  So pretty!

I am seriously impressed with Mums Makeup.  The colour translated so beautifully onto the nail and the formula was awesome.  Super well done to Tara for an awesome collection....i am now a fan!

The Ultimate sparkle...Kiko Sugar Mat collection

Happy Sunday my lovelies!  I am so excited to show you guys my swatches tonight.  Yesterday whilst out on a girlie shopping trip with my Daughter and two dear friends I had the chance to visit the Kiko store.  My my my, I was shaking with excitement when I saw the stand for these babies...I have wanted them so bad and finally have been able to lay my grubby mitts on them.  So, apologies for the picture spam but I just couldn't help it!

So I don't repeat...I used only 2 coats for each of these swatches. All of them were super opaque!
Application was no issue at all.  Formula a little thick but not unworkable.  Dry time, excellent.  Here we go, buckle up and get ready to drool, these are to gorgeous!

643 Spring Green.  This is a stunning stunning summer green, so bright and so super sparkly.  Very very pretty indeed.

642 Hot pink.  Yep this is indeed a really pretty bright super girly pink with a really lovely shimmer running throughout.  Love this.

639 Golden Mandarin.  This is a beautiful soft peach colour.  It is definitely a summer colour, so soft and pretty.

641 Strawberry pink.  Hmmmm I disagree with the name of this one to be honest.  This is a lovely soft shade of pink but not 'strawberry' in my opinion, it is like a creamy coral meets soft pink. Never the less I still adore it!

640 Poppy Red.  Another name I disagree with.  This is absolutely not red in any shape or form.  It leans more orange toned.  This is however my favourite of the collection.  It is so damn sparkly and pretty...I love it!!

644 Sea Blue.  A sparkly blue textured is always going to get my vote.  This also leans towards purple to...absolutely stunning beyond words!

I also done a little skittle mani for you and top coated them for you to see.....very lovely indeed...but  am liking them left textured.

So my overall sum up of these polishes are all super positive.  I adored each and every one and I Will no doubt be keeping my eye open for more of these lovelies!!  These are not as textured as the liquid sands but without doubt (with the exception of cant let go) they outshine them easily with the bright and summery colours.  My only gripe is  do wish they would come up with better names...for me names of polishes always make me love them more.  I still love the though...well done to Kiko!

My angels Gingham Nails

Double post for you guys tonight...arnt i good to you?! Now my beautiful daughter has featured on my blog several times now, and to be honest she will be gracing your screens much more.  She is the perfect model to work on, she has amazing nails...and she is only 12 years old!!!

Tomorrow we are off out to London with 2 special friends so me and lucy did the only thing girlies can do at a time like this and prepared early.

Lucy asked me to do a gingham esque manicure for her and this my friends is what i come up with.

Although it wasn't what we were going to do, i think this turned out pretty cool!!  For the base colour i used China Glaze Dandy Lyin Around, the blue lines were created with Jade Cremoso Aiga Marinha and the darker blue was OPI Eurso Euro.

What do you think...?

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Lace....the lazy girl art

Well today I am here with a little something different.  I have decided to try out the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Lace Stickers.

I love nail art, I love freehanding that to me is much more special than stickers, somehow I feel uber lazy and a little hmmm about applying stickers to my nails.  I like knowing my art has taken time and effort and is my creation...so this is all a bit new for me.

So with a little hesitation I only did my accent finger in the lace stickers and used Barry M Lychee on the others.  Lychee is a perfect nutral base colour for these things...it applies like a dream and I adore the colour!

I peeled the easy backing off the sticker and applied it.  It is super easy to place on the nail, although obviously the backing is sticky it isn't really catchy sticky so it didn't curl or anything.  There were no bubbles and it was perfectly smooth.  I rolled the sticker over my free edge and buffed the excess away...perfect.

So all in all I am very impressed with the quality of these.  Will I be rushing out and buying these like I do my nail art paints and pens? NO!!  I love creating nail art far to much to become a full time stickerette!

Disney Fox And The Hound Challenge...take 2

Chrikey it is late here and I havent long finished these babies to show you.  We have the prompt from the lovely Katherine at  Rambles Of A Polish Addict  for Fox and the hound.

Now the eagle eyed amongst you will know this is a manicure I have already completed a Fox and the Hound mani a while ago.  I was going to recycle it but....well I like me a good old challenge.

So I have done a pretty traditional bit of art with Tod, Copper and Vixey.

I wish my Vixey could have been more sleek..i felt I gave her a bit of a meat head lol.

So I hope you guys like it....for the record this is the mani I did a while ago....
