Borough Babe Suerte and Carnival Queen
Hello Lovelies, i hope today finds you well. Today i am bringing a fab indie polish maker to you guys....ta dah welcome Borough Babe! The lovely Shannon sent me the polish to review boy im so glad she did they are wicked! Not only are the polishes simply divine but the packaging is brilliant...they come in a cute velvet drawstring bag with a picture of Shannon on the front....so so cute!! So lets get on with the swatches i hope you like them xx
Here we have Suerte...oh my days i adore this polish...it fun, funky and fabulous!! This polish is freaking awesome! I would recommend this to be used as a layering polish rather than a stand alone polish (unless you have fabulously unstained nails...something i haven't got due to all the polish i wear!). It would compliment any base colour its that versatile. Suerte (Spanish for luck BTW) is made up in a clear base with square and diamond silver glitter, gold stars and red hearts are thrown in for the fun factor then to top it off there are tiny micro glitters that really add to the sparkle of Suerte. I decided to layer this over Nails Inc Baker Street, i used 2 coats of Suerte. Application was beautiful and dry time fab!
Next up we have Carnival Queen. This is another seriously pretty polish. It is reminds me of being on the beach in Mexico, looking out at the turquoise ocean....beautiful..and with it being horrid weather here in the UK (as i write this i have myself wrapped in a blanket with a hot water bottle on my lap!) i am glad to have a little sunshine on my finger tips..so thank you Shannon! So Carnival Queen is a beautiful turquoise tropical blue polish with silver square glitter, blue hex glitter and micro gold glitter. This builds coverage nicely, i used 3 coats with no undies for these shots. Application was good...i needed to work a little with the glitters as they had a tendency to gather in the middle of the nail...but with careful application it was no big deal...the end tropical result was well worth it.
I adored these polishes...Shannon should be very proud for producing such beauties! You can find Borough Babe on Etsy here and here on Facebook
